Lou Marini

Lou Marini is the owner and a Master Stylist at Cool Hand Lou, and he has achieved Master Stylist status. He earned his license in 1997 and began working as a cutter at Avalon Salon, an upscale Aveda Concept salon in Snider Plaza. He spent about four years at Avalon, where he took part in ongoing weekly mandatory training under the Vidal Sassoon Professional Programme.

After leaving Avalon to work on his own, he moved to North Dallas and spent six years developing his color and highlighting techniques. He later opened his own salon in West Plano within the past decade, now Cool Hand Lou Salon.

His specialties are cutting and color, with particular focus on color and highlighting. He works across looks that range from subtle and natural to edgy or punk rock. He works with a people-first, friendly approach to both cutting and color.
