Lorena Huerta

Lorena Huerta works as an independent artist at Belle Sirène Salon in La Jolla. Before moving to San Diego to join the team, she spent eleven years working in Los Angeles, where she had started out at a cosmetology school shortly after high school.

After training, she assisted salon owner Sherri Belanger for more than a year and learned her techniques and blonding formulations along the way. Her specialties are blonding and sun-kissed balayage, along with healthy hair. The looks she enjoys creating include beach blonde, sun-kissed placement, shiny brunettes, long layers and bouncy blowouts.

She believes continued education is essential in hairdressing, so she regularly attends advanced academies and specialty classes to keep up with trends. She recently became certified in the Business of Balayage advanced course.
