Dr. Lisa M. Jukes is a board-certified OB/GYN and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She owns Modern Women's Health, which began in 2019, and guides the Modern Med Aesthetics services. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1996 and finished her residency there in 2000. After several years in a multi-physician practice in Austin, she founded her own practice, Lisa M. Jukes, MD, P.A., in 2004. Most of her surgical work is robotic, carried out on the da Vinci surgical system, where she reports more than 1,400 procedures since 2003. She is a national proctor for da Vinci and a proctor and mentor for Biote providers. She is a Key Opinion Leader for the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery, Biote, Intuitive Surgery and InMode Technologies, and works with InMode, Biote and Intuitive on research projects. She speaks on hormonal contraception, endometriosis and fibroids, and has been a speaker for AbbVie on Orilissa and Oriahnn. She is the gynecological representative on the Robotics Steering Committee at South Austin Medical Center. She is on staff at most hospitals and surgery centers in the Austin area and was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Texas Advocacy Project, which provides pro bono legal services to women in abusive relationships. Her gynecology practice covers menstrual cycle problems, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, peri- and post-menopause concerns and infertility diagnosis, and she treats patients of all ages and life stages. She was named an Austin Monthly Top Doctor in 2015 and received the 2021 Award for Top Doctor in Gynecology. The practice describes her as one of the nation's top robotic gynecologic surgeons, and the website calls her a top-rated gynecologist in Austin and a Texas Top Doc. According to the site, she was the first physician in Central Texas to offer the AVIVA non-surgical labiaplasty treatment. She is also a Biote Platinum Provider with five years of experience.
