Lisa M. Jukes

Modern Women's Health was established by Dr. Lisa M. Jukes, a board-certified OB/GYN and gynecologist who practices in Austin. After graduating from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1996, she finished her residency there in 2000. She spent a few years with a multi-physician practice in Austin before opening her own practice in 2004. In 2019 she launched Modern Women's Health. According to the practice, she has been an Austin Monthly Top Doctor since 2015 and won a 2021 award for Top Doctor in Gynecology, and the site refers to her as a Texas Top Doc. She does robotic surgery on the da Vinci system, with more than 1,400 procedures completed on it since 2003. She serves as a national proctor for that system and mentors physicians who begin using it. She is a Key Opinion Leader for the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery, Biote, Intuitive Surgery and InMode Technologies. She is a Biote Platinum Provider and has five years of experience with that role. She proctors and mentors Biote providers and handles single-site and multi-site Intuitive gynecologic procedures. She is the gynecological representative on the Robotics Steering Committee at South Austin Medical Center. She is on staff at most hospitals and surgery centers in the Austin area and collaborates on research with InMode, Biote and Intuitive. She previously spoke for Warner-Chilcott about hormonal contraception. She currently speaks for AbbVie about Orilissa for endometriosis-related pain and Oriahnn for heavy menstrual bleeding caused by fibroids. Her practice treats menstrual cycle problems, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, peri- and post-menopause concerns and infertility diagnosis. She provides bioidentical hormone therapy, vaginal rejuvenation and med spa treatments. She was the first physician in Central Texas to offer AVIVA and the first in the area to perform MonaLisa Touch for vaginal dryness, as well as Acessa laparoscopic fibroid ablation. She treats patients of all ages and at every life stage. She has appeared in media on FOX 7 Good Day Austin, KXAN and KVUE. She was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Texas Advocacy Project, which offers pro bono legal services to women in abusive relationships.
