About
Ling Yu owns Salon Ling and works there as a hair stylist. She began her career in 1988 after earning a cosmetology degree in Shenzhen, China, and opened a first salon after graduating, which she managed for eight years. She has been a hair stylist for over 30 years and has been based in Minnesota since 1996.
She was hired as a hair stylist at the JCPenney Salon after graduating from Central Beauty School in Eagan, Minnesota. From 2006 she trained at Aveda, building advanced skills in hair styling, hair coloring, and facial and skin care, and she continues to take courses at the Aveda Institute on new treatments and techniques.
She attends hair shows in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas each year to keep up with styling trends.
