About
Ligia opened Studio L after building her career in luxury spas in Boston and Miami. She holds licenses as a massage therapist and an esthetician, and her specialties are lymphatic drainage and Sculptural Face Lifting, which includes buccal facial work and Buccal TMJ Relief. She holds a lymphatic drainage certification in the Vodder Method from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), plus an advanced certification in Sculptural Face Lifting. In November 2025 she completed advanced training in São Paulo, Brazil, with Yakov Gershkovich, the creator of the method, who trained her directly. Her other training covers myofascial release through the Howard Rontal Method, oncology massage with Tracy Walton, cupping therapy, and hospice and compassionate touch care with Irene Smith. She also received extensive skincare training from her mentor, Tereza Maria Pupeza.
