About
Dr. Salob works as a family medicine and osteopathic physician at Evia Medical Center, serving patients across Long Island, New York. He earned his osteopathic medical degree in 2002 at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York Institute of Technology, and during medical school he took a one-year undergraduate teaching fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. Training in family practice and osteopathic manipulative treatment followed at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, where he later served as chief resident. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Association in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment, holds Fellow status with the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, and belongs to several professional groups, including the American Osteopathic Association. His clinical focus is osteopathic manipulative treatment, a hands-on method he uses to diagnose, treat and help prevent illness or injury. He often applies it to back pain, headaches, joint pain, sinus problems and carpal tunnel syndrome, and he pairs traditional medicine with it. It may be used alongside medication, physical therapy, diet, weight loss programs and trigger point injections. He also makes house calls to homebound patients, with a particular focus on older adults, and has cared for residents of subacute rehabilitation facilities and long-term care residents in several nursing homes.
