About
Lawrence Carter, MD, is the medical director and owner of Peak Wellness & Aesthetics. He is board certified in internal medicine and works as an inpatient hospital specialist at Norman Regional Hospital, where he serves as chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and vice chair of the hospitalist medicine department. His hospital committee work includes stroke, ED resident competency, utilization review and the medical executive council. He was named Outstanding Physician of the Year in 2019 by peers in the Norman Regional Health System. His training began with a zoology degree from the University of Oklahoma's Norman campus, followed by medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City. He completed internal medicine training at OUHSC, graduating in 2015, and is a lifelong member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
