Lauren

Lauren holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's from the University of Toledo, where she graduated summa cum laude. She practices through Dual Embrace Counseling Services and brings eight years of experience as a mental health social worker in community mental health.

Earlier, she was the first social worker on ProMedica's Palliative Medicine team, where she worked alongside hospice. She later became an oncology social worker at the Rogel Cancer Center, part of the University of Michigan Hospital.

Her counseling addresses anxiety, perfectionism, unresolved loss and life transitions. Life coaching principles inform her approach, with the goal of change that lasts. Sessions tend to be direct and supportive, focusing on clarity, accountability and honest reflection, and she gently questions patterns that aren't serving clients.
