Lauren Smith

Lauren Smith is an esthetician, makeup artist, brow artist, and teacher working at Sublime Botanicals from Skin Studio KC. She started in makeup and attended esthetician school during Covid, about five years after beginning in makeup. She is a licensed esthetician and educator. After school she turned her focus to brow work. Makeup is a favorite area for her, particularly editorial and avant-garde looks. For brows, she sees each client's brows as different and prefers to work with what they already have. For a makeup look, she works through the design with the client, who guides what feels like them. Clients are encouraged to say what they like and dislike and to take their time. She also teaches. Estheticians began asking to be taught after finding her TikTok videos, and she now teaches brow lamination and tint through the workbook and video training.
