Laurel Chirico

Laurel Chirico is a co-founder and stylist at Platino Salon & Suites. Her hairdressing career started in Los Angeles, where she built a clientele drawn from the television and film industry. In Newport Beach, California, she opened her first salon in 1978. During the late 1970s she took part in an assistant training programme with Jon Peters Salons. For Allen Edwards salons she designed an advanced educational salon course covering cutting, permanent waving and colour. She also served as Vice President of Operations for California salons in partnership with TONI&GUY. Her platform work has included L'Oreal International, Renbow Colour, Jarimac and KMS hair products, and her looks have appeared in fashion magazines and newspapers, made with photographers. After travelling and learning from others, she passes new products and teaching tools on to colleagues and staff.
