Laura Guyton

Laura Guyton founded Laura Guyton Styles, which she owns and runs. She has worked in hairstyling for more than two decades, and for seven of those years she styled talent for live broadcast media. Today she works freelance as a hair artist on onsite productions for WETA, PBS NewsHour, Washington Week and other media outlets, and she has done hair for television personalities, celebrities and prominent public figures.

She holds certification as a Goldwell Master Colorist and as a Bellami Hair Pro Extension Specialist. Each year she completes continuing education in her field, and she has taken a social media course at Old Dominion University. Her services centre on premium color work designed to be low-maintenance, including balayage, foilyage and Air Touch, along with precision cutting, master-level keratin smoothing treatments, luxury extensions and elite wedding hairstyling, including bridal styles.

She approaches her work by combining media-level technical precision with a more personal creative touch. For clients growing out their hair, she suggests setting goals in stages: starting with a bob, moving through short and medium cuts, and then progressing to longer styles.
