LaShonda Rosemond

LaShonda Rosemond is the Master Stylist and owner of Uptown Salon and Spa, which she opened in 2011. She has worked in the hair industry for 14 years and specializes in healthy hair, blowouts and extensions.

She trained at Moore Universite' of Hair Design and holds a Cosmetology license, obtained in 2004, and a Managing Cosmetologist License, obtained in 2005. She regularly attends trade shows and classes on current techniques, salon business, styles and trends.

Beyond the salon, she founded and served as Creative Director of Hair and Beauty Expo: Cincinnati in 2013. In 2015 she launched the Uptown Luxe Collection, a hair care line for at-home use. She was chosen in 2017 as the educator for the braiding and natural hair course at the Life Skills Center through the Christopher Amira Program, and she has also been chosen as an educator for interning high school students in the Diamond Oaks Cosmetology Program.

She oversees and mentors Uptown's stylists, along with other cosmetology professionals who come to her for advice, and she has mentored many aspiring cosmetologists in the community with plans to continue.
