LaShaun GB

LaShaun GB is the founder and CEO of Your Natural Image Inc. with over twenty years in the beauty industry. She began styling her own hair and braiding for friends and family as a teenager, later worked at AT&T while studying Fine Arts, and trained at Cutting Edge Hair Styling Academy in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. She earned a nail technician license in 2004 and became a licensed cosmetologist in Kansas and Missouri in 2006.

Her Sisterlocks credentials include becoming a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant in 2007 and earning R-Certification in 2010, which allows her to teach retightening classes and mentor consultants. She is a Sisterlocks Trainer and earned a Cosmetology Instructor License in 2022. Her braiding training came from a native stylist of Ghana, West Africa, and she has also trained with Xtreme Lashes and Novalash. She continues her education through industry conferences, trade shows and specialized certifications.

Her work covers natural hair care for all textures, including Sisterlocks, traditional locs, Interlock, braids, twists, textured extensions, transition styling, natural hair color, curly cuts and protective styles. She guides aspiring Sisterlocks consultants through hands-on instruction and career mentorship, which can include shadowing her on retightening appointments. She has helped thousands of clients reach their hair goals. Interlock loc retightening with her is $80 per hour.
