About
Lamont Whitmire is a Master Barber, grooming strategist and partner at Dupont Barber & Spa. He has more than three decades of barbering experience and holds a BarberSafe Professional Shave Certification. Early in his career, he trained under a Master Barber who was educated in New York.
His training also includes American Crew's shear-cutting certification, completed in Denver, and advanced color training from Redken, taken in Atlanta. His work covers precision cutting, straight-razor technique, beard architecture, color services and a luxury grooming methodology.
He finished first among barbers company-wide and led the top-performing of its 38 national shops. Beyond the chair, he has run multi-department operations and KPI strategy, and has overseen membership growth and retail performance. His clients include executives, journalists, creatives and public figures, and they describe his work as meticulous, tailored and consistent.
