L.A. Platt

L.A. Platt is the owner and master stylist of LA's Hair Studio in Atlanta. She started working in Atlanta in 1987 and opened the studio there less than four years later. In 2000 she relocated to Virginia to join Elle Elle, where she rose to top senior stylist and mentored Eugene Smith. She returned to Atlanta in 2004 and reopened the studio.

She has worked as a platform artist for Mizani/L'Oreal USA, Straight Request and Paul Mitchell, and often serves as creative director on photo shoots.

Her work has been published in Essence, Sister-2-Sister and Upscale, and she has been featured on the covers of Passion, Hype Hair and Sophisticate's Hair. On television she has styled for Fox 5's Good Day Extra and a Coors Beer ad, and on music videos for Nelly and 112. She was also the onsite stylist for the Miss World pageant in the Bahamas. Her clients have included local celebrities, corporate executives, professionals and models.
