Kurumi

Kurumi works as a makeup artist and hairstylist and belongs to IATSE Local 488, the union serving motion picture and television crews. Across 19 years in the field, she has done makeup and hair for commercials, films, music videos, print and advertising campaigns, and corporate video productions. Notable clients include singers and public figures such as Megan Rapinoe, One Direction, Larry King, Taio Cruz, Carson Daly, David LaChapelle and Leighton Meester. Her print work has appeared in Rolling Stone, Entrepreneur, Angelino, Cosmopolitan UK, The Sunday London Times and Los Angeles Magazine. Brands in her commercial work include Doritos, Rimmel, Rusnak Auto Group, Audi, Sprint, Kodak and CareMore. Special effects form a large part of her skill set: prosthetics, aging, bald caps and hair pieces, injury simulation and creature design. Beyond that, she works in natural beauty, airbrush makeup and hair styling. She works with photographers, directors and brands, and on set and on event days she keeps a steady, efficient pace while paying close attention to how a look will read on camera and on stage.
