Kristine Kay

Kristine Kay is the Brow Specialist and Esthetician at the studio, with more than 20 years of experience as a makeup artist and esthetician. She began in fashion photography before moving into makeup artistry, and worked in Los Angeles on national advertising campaigns for brands including Prada, DKNY and Sony, along with music videos, commercials and print work. Her makeup work has included celebrities such as Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Jim Carrey, Bo Derek and Heath Ledger. She later returned to Kansas City to open the studio. Her formal training began with Fine Arts and Photography at the Kansas City Art Institute. Her brow education includes a tattoo apprenticeship with Jeremy Angotti, Brow Architecture with Irina Levchuk, microblading with Branko Babic, Machine Hairstroke with Mary Ritcherson and Dora Hollos, Machine Ombre Brow with Liucija Pen, W-Brows, Advanced Brow Creation and Fluffy Brows with Nataliya Yeremenko, Nano Brows with Selen Shenalp, Stardust Brows with AcademyS, and Tattoo Techniques with Angela Gates. She has also trained in advanced color theory and pigment formulas, and has attended the Worldwide Eyebrow Conference and the Everlasting Brows Conference. Her work centers on natural, polished brows for women at every age. Her most comprehensive facial is the Advanced Skin Refining Facial. She is known for a signature facial style called Zen Touch. She has earned widespread recognition for her skill and dedication, and was featured in 435 Magazine's Best of Kansas City. She focuses on education and on making skincare feel accessible, and keeps looking for newer technology and evidence-based techniques.
