Kristen Hansen

Kristen Hansen is a licensed esthetician in New Jersey and the owner of The Skin Tune. She holds a clean standing with the state's cosmetology and hairstyling board in New Jersey, and she is also a licensed makeup artist. She trained in clinical skincare with corrective facials for acne, hyperpigmentation, aging and uneven texture, and she has advanced training in progressive chemical peel protocols. She is certified in GlyMed Plus protocols and in Glacial FX cryoaesthetic technology, and she is certified in manual and mechanical exfoliation, including dermaplaning and microdermabrasion. HydraFacial has certified her to deliver its Signature and Deluxe treatments with specialized boosters and protocols. Her makeup work covers bridal, editorial and special event application. Every makeup appointment starts with a skin consultation and skin prep before any makeup is applied. She customizes each treatment to a client's skin type, concerns and goals, and she explains the reasoning behind the home care and products she recommends. She completes annual advanced courses, attends industry conferences and pursues product-specific certifications. She welcomes clients dealing with breakouts, dark spots, dullness, dryness, fine lines or redness.
