About
Kimberly Mello co-owns Movel Medical Aesthetics, where she works as a physician assistant. She holds an M.S. and PA-C credential and has been a certified Physician Associate for more than 23 years. Over 12 years of aesthetic injecting, her peers regard her as an Advanced Injector. She completed an undergraduate degree in kinesiology at California State University, Sacramento in 1997, followed by a master's in Physician Associate Studies from Western University in 2002. Nearly a decade in orthopedic surgery came before her move into plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, where she spent six years as a plastic surgery PA and lead injector. Her aesthetic work began at a medical spa chain in Northern California, where she picked up the fundamentals of injectables and lasers. Later, a brief stint at a dermatology practice had her training for the launch of Juvederm Voluma alongside Dr. Steve Yoelin. Mello is also the CEO and founder of Upskill Aesthetics Training Academy, which teaches aesthetic medicine to RNs, NPs, PAs and MDs. Her completed training includes the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, cadaver-based injection anatomy courses, Palette Resources programs on dermal fillers and neuromodulators, Allergan and Galderma programs, the American Med Spa Association, and the Disappearing Act Medical Aesthetics mentee program.
