Kian Karimi

Dr. Kian Karimi founded Kian Aesthetic Institute in Los Angeles and serves as its medical director. He earlier founded Dr. Kian Nasal and Facial Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles in 2015, and has been national medical director for CosmoFrance since 2012. He holds an MD, is a FACS, and is double board-certified in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. With more than 15 years of surgical experience, his work covers cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face and neck. His training began with a magna cum laude degree from Indiana University in 2001, with honors in biology and chemistry. During a facial plastics fellowship at the University of Toronto in 2011, he received the Kris Conrad Merit Award. He specializes in rhinoplasty, deep plane facelifts and minimally invasive facial rejuvenation. He uses ultrasonic rhinoplasty (Piezosurgery) to reshape bone and works with platelet-rich fibrin, EZGEL and thread lifting. In rhinoplasty, he aims to refine a patient's own natural beauty rather than change who they are. He co-founded the Los Angeles Multi-Specialty Cosmetic Academy, where he chairs the course, and has trained more than 1,000 doctors in facial aesthetics techniques. He volunteers as a professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and the USC Keck School of Medicine, and lectures and trains providers internationally, including on regenerative surgery in 2025. His published work appears in peer-reviewed journals and facial plastic surgery textbooks, and he serves as a key opinion leader and researcher for aesthetic companies.
