Khalil Khatri, MD

Khalil Khatri, MD, is a physician at the Skin & Laser Surgery Center of New England, where he practices as a dermatologist and cosmetic laser surgeon and sits on the Scientific Board. He started research work in 1995 at the Wellman Center of Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University and has more than 25 years of experience with cosmetic lasers. He has been Medical Director at several aesthetic laser companies, leading research and development, and set up the New England Institute of Laser Research at his Nashua, NH office. He also oversees the Skintique aesthetician services.

He trained at Harvard in dermatology and cosmetic surgery and completed fellowships at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Royal Society of Medicine in England. He attended medical school at Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. During his time at Harvard he carried out a study comparing CO2 and Erbium:YAG lasers and helped develop fractional laser technology used for wrinkles, acne scars and melasma. He has written more than 30 peer-reviewed papers, has served as an editor and reviewer for several medical journals, and owns patents on some cosmetic procedures.

In his practice he performs laser skin resurfacing with CO2 and Erbium:YAG lasers, botulinum toxin injections, and chemical peels following a consultation and skin assessment. He also performs liquid rhinoplasty and places dermal fillers for the nose, and has special training in all of the fillers the practice offers. His other procedures include laser and traditional eyelid surgery, laser vaginal rejuvenation and labiaplasty, and melasma treatment using laser resurfacing and chemical bleaching agents. His current research interests are non-invasive fat removal, skin tightening and hyperhidrosis treatment. He is an invited speaker and educator who trains physicians on laser technologies. In November 2022 he gave the keynote lecture and served as a Scientific Board member at Aestheticstanbul. He won the Best Lecture Award 2021 at the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery conference.
