Keyian Paydar, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon who serves as Medical Director of Paydar Plastic Surgery and of Newport Aesthetic Surgery Center, and holds an appointment as Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery. He is an award-winning clinical professor with more than two decades of experience. He has held certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2008, renewed through December 2028, and from the American Board of Surgery since 2006. Each year since 2014, the Orange County Medical Association has recognized him with its physician excellence honor, and Orange Coast magazine featured him in its Top Doctors issue, most recently in January 2026.

He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, earned magna cum laude, and a medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Training included a six-year general surgery residency, followed by two years of plastic and reconstructive surgery training at the University of California, San Francisco, and observerships in aesthetic surgery in Dallas, Miami and New York. Afterward he joined the staff at the University of California, Irvine. He has published in peer-reviewed national and international journals, holds patents related to breast surgery, and has contributed book chapters and edited Personalized Breast Care, a self-published book on breast surgery.

His aesthetic practice spans the face, breast and body. Techniques he uses include a no-touch approach to breast augmentation, multilayer plication in tummy tucks with a low abdominal incision, and liposuction combined with excision for thigh lifts. He personally conducts every consultation, sees each patient several times, and determines whether a patient is a candidate for surgery, aiming to resolve potential concerns before any procedure. He has built a reputation for natural-looking results.
