About
Kendra Murphy is a massage therapist at Awaken. She trained at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts, obtained a massage therapy license in 1996, and obtained an Illinois massage license in 2016. She holds R.N. and OCN credentials in nursing.
Before returning to massage practice after getting her Illinois license, she worked as a nurse on an oncology medical-surgical unit for almost two years. Her modalities include Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, visceral manipulation, aromatherapy, neuromuscular cupping, trigger point massage, Synergy Stones, and effleurage for lymphatic drainage. She works with a variety of clients.
