Ken Nissen is a master colorist and hairstylist at Loose Ends Salon in Denver. He has spent more than 35 years mixing classic hairstyles with current trends.
His training includes hair design for photos and film at Sorbie, color work with master colorist Leland Hirsch at ARTec, and expert cutting techniques at Martin Parsons Design. Color is a major focus, particularly highlights and lowlights chosen for the four seasons in the Rockies. He has also worked as an occasional model.
Each look is built around hair texture and volume, chosen to flatter the face and complexion. In consultations he offers guidance, and he also shares advice on blow-drying, products and styling.
