Katie DeLuca

Katie DeLuca works as the extension and color specialist at Hair by Katie DeLuca. She has 20 years in the industry, including more than a decade focused on hair extensions. She completed a cosmetology certification at the Brown Aveda Institute in Mentor, Ohio, in 2003, then took a six-week cutting course and a two-week color course at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, California, in 2004. She assisted at New York Fashion Week, working with Orlando Pita in 2012 and 2013 and with Odile Gilbert for Kerastase in 2013 and 2014. From 2013 to 2015 she was a Kerastase TECH artist. She has worked on the Tresemme team with Justine Marjan at New York Fashion Week in 2019, 2020 and 2022, and her set work includes Allure Magazine and V Magazine. In July 2016 Gary Gill and Anna Chapman selected her to attend a London workshop. She was a semi-finalist for the Wella Trendvision Awards in 2015 and 2016 and entered the North American Hairstyling Awards in 2015.

Her specialties are hand-tied, beaded row, sew-in and custom weft extensions, plus balayage, foilayage, grey blending, color correction, ombre, sombre and toning. Further study took her to the 901 Academy in Los Angeles, where she took blonding and dimensional color classes in 2017 and 2018. She also completed the Habit Handtied Method in October 2021 and an EasiHairPro certification class in July 2022. As of February 2024 she is certified in the Refinery Method, and she is also certified in Hotheads and Hairtalk extensions. She teaches braiding classes for stylists and clients and shares hair tutorials on TikTok. She is currently welcoming new extension and color clients who have flexible schedules.
