About
Katie Averson serves as Clinical Director and co-founder of Contour Collection. Her academic credentials are a Master of Science in Nursing from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado College of Nursing. She came up through nursing as a registered nurse across intensive care, urgent care, chemotherapy infusion and aesthetics before qualifying as a nurse practitioner. Previously she was a board certified nurse practitioner and clinic manager at The Little Clinic, where she provided primary care. Aesthetics work started for her in 2017. Training so far includes Allergan Medical Institute Master Course sessions in 2018 and 2019, an Allergan Master Course on Shapes and Contours in 2021, advanced full face harmonization via the Allergan Medical Institute in 2024, and advanced ultrasound training on injectable complications and vascular safety in 2025. In 2026 she completed SkinVive certification and advanced PDGF-BB training with Leslie Fletcher. She has also trained with Raj Acquilla, Sebastian Cotofana, Mauricio De Maio, Steven Yoelin, Julie Bass Kaplan and Jonathan Sykes, among others. She holds certification in the safe operation of the Sciton mJoule aesthetic laser system.
