About

Kathryn Dean owns Facelogix and works there as an esthetician. Her career began at Leibinger LP, a surgical implant and instruments company, in 1993. She later worked with OsteoMed from 2001 to 2003, and from 2003 to 2006 was clinical training and marketing director at Genesis Biosystems, where she helped develop products and training courses for estheticians and physicians. From 2006 she served as Sales and Marketing Director for BeautyandHair.com, and until 2009 she worked part time as an independent regional sales representative for VI Peel/Khalil Medical Products and Trilliant Surgical. Her training includes esthetics at National Beauty College in Houston, Texas, a Derma Genesis Microdermabrasion certificate course at Genesis Biosystems, and a science degree from Brookhaven College in 2001. She is currently attending the University of Texas at Arlington. Her licenses include a Texas Esthetic License received in 2005, a Texas Cosmetology Salon Esthetician Specialty Salon License, and a Texas Tattoo Studio License covering permanent makeup, microblading and microneedling. She also holds Florida (2014) and California (2024) esthetic licenses, a Laser Hair Removal Professional specialty license received in 2024, and certification as a Laser Safety Officer in Texas. Her certifications include Certified Injection Technician Level 1 Basic in cosmetic neurotoxin injections, received in February 2023, and Level 2 and Level 3 Advanced Injection Technician certifications for the face and neck. In 2012 she received a Texas certification and tattoo studio license as a permanent makeup artist, covering micropigmentation, microblading, microneedling and tattoo artistry. Her work focuses on problematic and ethnic skin types from Fitzpatrick I through VI, polished and natural special occasion and bridal makeup, and teaching clients skincare and beauty techniques they can repeat at home. She is a non-medical licensed esthetician. Clients have worked with her for many years, some for over 20 years. She also performs the virtual makeup and skincare lessons and the permanent makeup, microblading and microneedling courses offered through ShopFacelogix.com and Zoom.
