Kat

Kat is principal artist at INK HDZ, and also works as a trainer, leading the INK HDZ SMP Academy in Santa Monica. He began in scalp micropigmentation after working as a tattoo artist.

Early SMP work came through Picasso Jeff: he apprenticed under him and trained alongside him in Los Angeles, then joined his company at the Hollywood flagship. Over four years there he worked as a pro artist and then as store manager, a promotion made under Picasso Jeff. His training runs through LDRSMP, which certified him, and he is now an LDRSMP Academy Master Trainer. He is also on the Pro Ghost Pigment team.

Teaching is a big part of his work. He has taught SMP across the United States, including Alaska and Chicago, and in Canada, Spain, Serbia, Croatia and Vietnam. He was the first SMP artist to bring the technique to Sviato Academy in Europe. His specialty is the True-Natural feathered hairline, and students know him for patience and genuine care about their success.
