Karyn M. Mai, DDS

Karyn M. Mai, DDS, works as a dentist at Elevate and also offers facial esthetics injections. She graduated from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry with honors, then trained in general practice at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned two degrees from the University of Washington, one in microbiology and one in comparative history of ideas, and was a Gates Millennium Scholar. Her dental work includes veneers, bonding, orthodontics, TMJ treatment, airway procedures and facial esthetic rejuvenation, backed by further study in comprehensive and functional dentistry. She has also taken courses on complex full-mouth cases through Spear Education and The Pankey Institute. Over roughly the last decade, injectable facial and smile esthetics have become her main focus, covering Botox, dermal fillers, PDO threads, PRP and PRF biostimulators and laser treatments. She logs more than 100 hours of training each year and attends courses every quarter to keep up with the field. Her approach centers on each patient's concerns, and she aims to reduce the nervousness many people feel in a dental office so patients can build a lasting relationship with the practice.
