Karen Buckalew started Boutiq Medical Clinic and runs it as its owner. As a Family Nurse Practitioner with board certification, she brings more than three decades of healthcare experience. She began her nursing career in a progressive care unit, where she worked as a cardiac nurse for seven years, and went on to work across internal medicine, family practice, urgent care and aesthetic medicine. She earned a Master of Nursing from Florida State University and holds nurse practitioner licensure in several states. She has over 13 years of experience in aesthetics. She works as an advanced injector and an aesthetic trainer. She completed a preceptorship with Dr. Patrick Bitter Jr. that led to special certification on Sciton's BroadBand Light, BBL HERO and mJOULE laser platforms, and she holds aesthetics certification from the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery. Menopause and perimenopause are her main clinical focus. She is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner, a designation that requires passing a formal examination in midlife women's health, and she leads the clinic's Radiance Revival Method program. Her work centers on physician-supervised bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, paired with aesthetic treatments; she approaches hormones, metabolism, pelvic health and skin as linked parts of one picture.
