Kara Hazirjian is a Balayage Color Specialist and Reiki Practitioner and runs Balayage by Kara. She is licensed in Florida, Massachusetts and California. Her training includes the Redken Exchange in New York City in 2009. In 2013 she worked at the French salon Camille Albane, where she trained in balayage. In 2018 she trained one-on-one at Centre de Formation Dessange in Paris in French balayage. In 2025 she shadowed the European balayage colorist Abby Haliti in New York City's Upper East Side. Kara focuses on balayage highlighting, natural hair color and precision styling. She also practices Reiki, which she completed training and certification in during December 2025, and she took continuing Reiki certification courses in Northern California in 2026. Her Reiki sessions are a restorative ritual.
