Kalizya works as a hairstylist at SOKIM Salon Studios. Hair and color work began for her in New York in 2006, after training at The Aveda Institute. In Manhattan she apprenticed with Paul Labrecque, and during her years in the city she did hair for celebrities and socialites. In 2010 she joined the team at Ted Gibson Salon in Washington, DC. She has freelanced since 2017 for CNBC and MSNBC, where she styles on-air anchors and guests. She has also built a regular client base at David Rio Salon in Georgetown. She is a Certified Deva Curl Cutting Expert, and she cuts and styles many hair types, keeping hair health at the center of her work.
