Julius W. Few, MD

Julius W. Few, MD, directs The Few Institute in Chicago, which he founded in 2008, and works there as a board-certified plastic surgeon. His practice covers aesthetic plastic surgery of the face, breast, body and skin. He has been a health system clinician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago since 2013.

He earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1992. His postgraduate training included a general surgery internship and residency at the University of Michigan Medical Center, where he later served as chief resident, followed by a plastic surgery residency at Northwestern University, where he was later a chief resident instructor. He also has fellowships or affiliations at Flowers Clinic in Honolulu, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital and Paces Surgery Center in Atlanta.

From 2000 to 2008 he was an assistant and then associate professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and from 2007 to 2008 he developed and directed that school's Aesthetic and Breast Fellowship. He also holds a clinical associate role in the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Chicago. In education and industry work, he is editor of Aesthetic Surgery News, sits on the editorial advisory board of NewBeauty Magazine, and is a founding member of the Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety and a national education faculty member for Allergan, Inc. He is vice president of the Board of Governors of the Chicago Society of Plastic Surgeons.

In 2013 he founded The Few Initiative for Children, a non-profit foundation that gives financial help for services and programs serving Chicago youth. He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, has board certification through the American Board of Medical Specialties, and has membership on the American Board of Surgery from 1998 to 2008. He also belongs to several plastic surgery societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the Canadian Aesthetic Society.
