Juliana

Juliana is the owner stylist at Juliana Afro Hair Aurora Denver. She has more than 40 years of experience in the hair care industry, working with Black and African American hair for much of that time. Earlier in her career she worked at J.C. Penney Salon in Denver, Dina's Salon at Buckley Air Force Base and Hair Tech Plus. She is a licensed hairstylist. Her focus is natural and Afro-textured hair, types 3 and 4, including natural hair styling and cuts such as TWA trims and shaping longer styles. She also works on relaxers, including touch-ups and corrective work, and specializes in Jerry curls. Color for Black and textured hair, including highlights and full color, is part of her work, along with sew-in weaves and extensions, silk presses and blowouts, and deep conditioning treatments. At each appointment she asks what the hair needs and how much maintenance fits a client's routine. Blowouts use thermal protection and a comb-and-dryer method with controlled tension, and styles are finished with moisture-sealing products. After Jerry curls she walks clients through at-home maintenance. Reviews praise her work on curly hair, short hair and Jerry curls.
