About
Judith Hellman founded her practice and has been in private practice in New York City since 1993. She is a board-certified dermatologist who became certified in 1994. She holds an associate professorship in the Department of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, has published numerous papers in medical journals, and holds fellowships with the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the Dermatologic Society of Greater New York. She has given keynote addresses at national and international events and has lectured abroad. Her education began with premedical study at Wellesley College, where she made the Dean's List. She received her MD from Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1989, then completed an internal medicine internship at Beth Israel Medical Center and a dermatology residency at SUNY Stony Brook, where she served as chief resident. From 1992 she spent several years training in surgical skin cancer treatment and laser use at the Long Island Laser CosmediCenter. Her clinical focus covers laser acne treatment, acne scar treatment, Botox and fillers, cosmetic radiofrequency and laser devices, and medical skin conditions and their effect on health and appearance. Using Morpheus 8, she can treat skin at varying depths in a single session and often combines several techniques toward each patient's aesthetic goals. She tests new acne laser technologies and uses those considered most effective. She was featured on ABC News discussing laser acne treatment and has treated hundreds of New York patients. She has been named a NY Times Super Doctor for nine consecutive years. She speaks English, Hungarian and Hebrew, which supports multilingual care for patients in New York City.
