Joyce Long

Joyce owns and runs the business, where she works as a colon hydrotherapist and instructor. Her professional work in lymphatic drainage massage, high-frequency therapy and facial therapy dates to 1985. She founded The Wellness Institute, which she still runs. Her specialties are lymphatic drainage massage, high-frequency treatment, facial therapy and colon hydrotherapy.

Her lymphatic drainage training came from Hannah Kroeger, Sir Charles McWilliams and Dr. Simon De Montfort. In 1995 she trained in high-frequency lymphatic techniques in Nevis in the Caribbean with Sir Charles McWilliams, and she continues to train with him in Ecuador. She has also studied massage techniques in several countries.

She is a National Board certified colon hydrotherapist. She has been a member of the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) since 1992 and has served as an I-ACT instructor since 1995. She sat on the committee that wrote the guidelines and handbook for I-ACT therapists. Internationally, she facilitates and teaches manual and high-frequency lymphatic workshops. She has trained numerous practitioners and has spoken at conventions.

She was among the first colon hydrotherapists certified in the United States and the first therapist certified in colon hydrotherapy as an instructor. She has appeared on radio talk shows and on Great Day Houston on KHOU 11, and she is featured in Alive and Well into the New Millennium by Edgar Cayce. She was named Woman of the Year by the American Biographical Institute in 1996, was included in the International Who's Who in 1995, and received a USCA Best of Local Business award in 2011.
