About
Joyce Landicho founded Queer Haircuts and works from the salon off Riverside Drive. They have more than 16 years of experience in hair cutting and styling. Before moving into hairstyling, they worked in the fashion industry for brands including DKNY and Kenneth Cole.
They trained at the Aveda Institute in New York City and went on to work in New York City salons alongside established stylists. About ten years ago they moved to Los Angeles, joining Folklore Salon, where much of their work was with queer clients. They later held a residency at Bang Bang Salon in East Hollywood.
Joyce's specialties include short, medium, long and curly hair, along with buzz cut, fade, precision, asymmetrical and scissor over comb techniques. Butch is Not a Dirty Word featured Joyce in a recent feature and photoshoot.
