About
Joyce Bae, BSN, RN, founded Modyn Studio in Berkeley, and treats clients there. A registered nurse with a BSN, she graduated from New York University. Before opening the studio, she worked as a clinical trainer in the medical aesthetics industry, and she has trained and mentored more than 500 nurses in aesthetic procedures, patient safety, treatment planning and injection techniques. Her training work has included dermatologists in New York, plastic surgeons in California, and providers such as physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and registered nurses. Specialized aesthetic training came from Allergan and Merz. She oversees and performs Botox and Xeomin injections, microneedling with exosomes, VAMP skin treatments, chemical peels, customized medical-grade skincare and other non-surgical skin rejuvenation services. Injectable work with a natural look is her focus. Before an in-office procedure, she may recommend a gradual plan or skincare first, and she will advise when a requested treatment is not necessary.
