About
Joy Papaioannou is the esthetician and owner of Choose joy! Skin. She is a licensed registered nurse and was a lead esthetician at a large full-service day spa for several years before going solo.
She holds an NCEA certification as a skin care specialist. She is one of only seven listed NCEA certified skin care specialists in New Jersey, and NCEA certification is the highest achievable certification nationally to date. She also holds an oncology skin care therapy certification and offers restorative skin care for the cancer community. Her DMKSkin paramedical skin revision certification was taught by skin care industry educators and Dr. Danne Montegue King. In April 2016 she competed in The Skin Games, the first national esthetician competition, and she was judged a Top 5 Finalist in the Age Management category.
Her work centers on age management, DMK paramedical skin revision and restorative care. She believes that how a person looks and feels shapes how they live, and she tailors each visit to the concerns and goals a client brings. Her client base respects her knowledge and experience.
