Joy owns Pressed by Joy and is a licensed beauty professional. She trained at Long Island Beauty School starting in 2013, with a focus on healthy hair care and styling. Her work centers on natural hair care aimed at growth, moisture balance and long-term retention.
After stepping away from the industry for a period, she returned to working in the chair in 2024. She works with clients who are maintaining natural hair, wearing protective styles or restoring hair health. Her services include silk presses, deep cleansing treatments, hydration and protein balancing, scalp-focused care and protective styling.
