Joshua Penning

Joshua Penning owns JP Beauty Services and works as a licensed esthetician and certified makeup artist. He has been working in beauty since 2005 and has about 20 years of professional industry experience. Early in his career he worked at salons in Chicago, where he learned lash extensions and makeup, and he later held a role at Sephora focused on personalized skin care.

His focus includes custom facials, dermaplaning, lash lifts and professional makeup application. Facial cupping is one of his specialties, and he performs microneedling and nanoneedling to stimulate collagen. He tailors each treatment to the individual client.

He also works as a traveling makeup artist, providing everyday and event makeup and wedding makeup. His background includes professional photoshoots, weddings and other events, and he is taking bridal bookings for the 2026 and 2027 seasons. He teaches private one-on-one makeup lessons in Waukesha, from beginner to advanced levels. Lessons cover blending and contouring, advanced eye looks, foundation application and complexion matching, eye makeup from natural day looks to evening styles, blush, bronzer and lip application, choosing products for a student's skin type, and an introduction to color theory. He adjusts each lesson to the student's pace and needs.
