Joshua Genuth, DMD, MD

Joshua Genuth, DMD, MD, works as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Bergen Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He earned a Bachelor of Science in biology magna cum laude from Yeshiva University, then a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and a Doctor of Medicine from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. During his training he completed a one-year general surgery internship. His oral and maxillofacial surgery training took place at NYU Langone Health, Bellevue Hospital Center, Veterans Affairs NY Harbor Healthcare and NYU College of Dentistry. In his final year he was Executive Chief Resident, a role that included teaching residents at the lower levels of oral and maxillofacial surgery and general practice. Research from his training was published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received the Employee of the Month award among Bellevue Hospital Center employees. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and in March 2026 the practice announced that he had become officially board certified. His clinical interests are outpatient sedation, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, orthognathic jaw surgery, facial trauma, and oral and maxillofacial pathology. The practice describes him as warm and approachable.
