Jonquil Elise Dreadful

Jonquil Elise Dreadful owns and operates Fiercelocks, working as its Artisanal Hair Architect. The focus is natural, sustainable and fantastical dreadlocks made with a dread crochet technique, along with dreadlocks and extensions designed to suit each person. Hairdressing since 1993 is backed by a cosmetology license, and the work includes professional certification in Washington State, Michigan and British Columbia, Canada, plus international teaching of the skill set. Clients have a loyal following for dreadlocks and extensions. Training at Hairpolice in Minneapolis (2005), Doctored Locks in Spokane (2006), Dollylocks in St. Petersburg, Florida (2007 and 2011), Modlocks in Toronto (2018) and Seienstyle in Amsterdam (2020). Online and workshop training includes the Dreadlock Artist Collective (2020), Rollielocs (2020 and 2021), Radiant Roots (2025), and Rebel Manes with Rollielocs and Liz Kidder in Tampa (2024). Jonquil also trained with Rollielocs and Val Tuffcuts in Pahokee, Florida (2025), and holds The Crochet Code: Mastering Luxury Ends certification from LollyLocks and Wyld Hare, dated Spring 2026.
