Jon M. Grazer

Jon M. Grazer is a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Newport Beach, where he performs aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. He has also built a focus on skin health. He holds an assistant clinical professorship in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He teaches filler techniques for companies working across the United States and abroad, having instructed for four international firms and given many presentations overseas. He sits on the Advisory Board of The Aesthetic Academy and the Scientific Advisory Board of Modere. He also works as an aviation medical examiner, performing FAA medical examinations for pilots. His academic background includes a Master of Public Health and a Master of Science in Anatomy, both from Tulane University in New Orleans. He trained at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. After medical school he moved into surgical training: general surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine came first, then a plastic surgery fellowship at Penn State University, and finally microsurgical training at the University of Pittsburgh. During his graduate studies he co-published a paper with Dr. Louis Ignarro. While still in medical school he did research at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, where he was chosen as a second-tier astronaut candidate. He is a former president of the Orange County Plastic Surgery Society. He contributed a chapter on liposuction techniques to the multi-volume textbook Plastic Surgery: Indication, Operations, and Outcomes, and he created an interactive CD on abdominoplasty to help patients get ready for surgery. Media appearances include Discovery Channel, MTV, Fox News, NBC News and Ladies Home Journal. He travels to underserved areas to operate on children. His patients have included high-profile models and international celebrities.
