Working at Body & Soul by JoJo, the practitioner holds the roles of certified massage therapist, health educator and licensed esthetician, having been certified in massage and health education since 2013. The California Massage and Health Educator certification is number 45897, and the California Esthetician license is number Z178992. Over 25 years as a program director for an organization serving families with disabilities came before the move into healing arts and birth work. Later training has covered serving people with disabilities, autism and neurodivergent needs.

Training is broad: graduates of the National Holistic Institute and the International College of Beauty and Health Science, with further training as a birth and postpartum doula, Usui Reiki Master level training, and work as a Balinese Siwa Murti energy healer. Study has taken in face sculpting, fertility work, prenatal massage, several forms of lymph drainage including Brazilian and post-surgical, dry brushing, Swedish massage, advanced deep tissue, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, Yomassage, acupressure used for labor stimulation and postnatal recovery, and infant and child massage.

Memberships and certifications listed include ABMP, Brazilian Beauty Formula, Gillespie Approach, Melissa Imperial Skin Artistry and IRO (The International Reiki Organization). Work centers on prenatal and postnatal massage, lymphatic drainage, infant craniosacral therapy, pediatric massage, customized massage, bereavement massage and specialty facials, with guests welcomed at every stage of life. Wellness consulting on at-home self care is also offered, including assessment of posture and sleeping position concerns.
