About
Johnnie T. Griffin II is the founder and a barber at DudeCanCut Hair Studio. He began working as a barber in 2008, after completing barber school. He trained under Erskine Reeves, a Chicago barber and hair replacement specialist, and has 18 years behind the chair.
His background includes competition and events. He placed third in Men's Total Look at the 2014 CrossRoads Barber Battle, and was named one of the nation's top barbers by Bleu Magazine in 2012. He was the official barber at the Black Women's Expo in 2016 and for the NBA Draft Combine in 2018 and 2019. In 2019 he toured nationally with Phillips Norelco and the Chop Chop Mobile Barbershop.
He moved to the Tampa, Florida area around 2022 and is now based in Brandon. He also teaches at Pinellas Technical College, where he instructs the next generation of barbers.
