John Symbas

John Symbas is a board-certified plastic surgeon who owns John Symbas, MD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics in Atlanta. He performs cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on the face, breast and body, with a particular emphasis on body contouring and facial plastic surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University and graduated magna cum laude from Emory's medical school. He then trained in plastic and general surgery at Emory and finished an oculoplastic and cosmetic fellowship at Paces Plastic Surgery in Atlanta. He earned board certification in plastic surgery from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 2012. He holds a Georgia medical license, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He has written and presented work on body contouring and facial plastic surgery, including studies of brachioplasty outcomes and facelift complications. He coordinates with the nonsurgical team on shared patients and treatment plans and is available to advise them on surgical questions.
