John Havens Cary, MD

John Havens Cary, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist in New York City and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with High Honors and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and then attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine. During medical school he completed a research fellowship at the University of California San Francisco under Dr. Howard Maibach, and his dermatology residency was at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn. His research record includes more than 20 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters, and he serves as chief editor of Rosacea (Updates in Clinical Dermatology). His clinical interests include acne, rosacea, alopecia and other hair disorders, skin cancer screening and management, laser therapy, and psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions. He has joined Reszko Dermatology.
