Joey Stevenson

Joey Stevenson is the owner of Joey Stevenson Hair and a curl specialist. She began in the industry in 2002 with a cosmetology license from San Francisco, and was the first-ever assistant at Edo Salon. She then worked about 20 years in larger salons before opening the current studio. Training includes Bumble and Bumble, Redken and Pony Education, in New York and San Francisco, and she completed the Master of Balayage program. She has been certified in Ouidad curly haircuts since 2016. Her cutting focus includes curly, wavy and natural textured hair, with curl shaping for definition. Her color work includes lived-in color, bold fantasy hues and grey coverage. She also offers gender affirming haircuts and believes all haircuts affirm gender.
